As the Technology Coordinator for the Achille Independent School District, Kathy implemented educational methods using technology. Both elementary schools were soon recognized as Title I Schools of Excellency. The Southern Technology Council recognized the Yuba campus as a model school for Best Practices and Polices from Exemplary K-12 Schools for teachers, principals, parents, policymakers and industry in the book Making Technology Happen, (1997) pgs. 67 and 83. Kathy often shares her methods and practices at local, state and national conferences including the 21st Century After School, Alternative Education, Elementary School Principals, Middle School Leaders, Oklahoma School Board Association, Arkansas Association of Alternative Educators, National Association of Alternative Association, and many regional National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
With Kathy’s experience and expertise in teacher technical training, she was invited to join the team at Gabbart Communications May 2017. Gabbart Communications is known for superb product development and superior service and support after the sale. We believe Kathy is an asset to our team because her commitment to excellence in education matches our own. In addition to a dedicated lifetime of working with educators, Kathy has three grandsons attending public education in Oklahoma and Texas. Inspired by the learning needs of her own children and grandchildren, her heart is in providing learning opportunities for all children in every classroom.
